Atoms the building block of diamonds.
Atoms are the fundamental piece of matter and diamonds are no different. Atoms are composed of three tiny particles which are protons (positive charge), neutrons (no charge) and electrons (negatively charged). The electrons orbit around the nucleus.
An element is a substance that is entirely composed of one atom. The name of that atom is carbon.
